Paiboon asks EC questions about rules | Bangkok Post: news

Mr Paiboon yesterday outlined four questions it sought clarifications for and insisted the answers from the EC would set a precedent for other newly established parties. Second, Mr Paiboon said it was unclear whether in choosing its leader party executives must hold a secret ballot or an open vote. Mr Paiboon said the four questions were contained in a letter it sent to the EC which also acts as the political parties registrar. The court is expected to convene a meeting to deliberate the organic law and pass a ruling tomorrow. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday once the court has ruled on the political parties organic bill, the NCPO would decide whether to confirm a date next month for a meeting with political parties.
